Test Run And A Green Eye.

Dropped the boat in this morning after replacing the water pump last night

and gave it a blurt to test it out. Gotta take a rod just in case eh....

Whoa, the swell is up pretty solid from the south but real clean with a light

sou-westerly so just hung around inside at Jibbon.

The pump was on the job fine so I cast a jig over the weed beds near the

Royal Motor moorings and came up trumps with a good sized squid for

only a few minutes work.

Didn't really wanna miss the first decent swell we have had in a while so headed

back with a treat for dinner and no motor worries, bit of a bonus for what was

only to be a quick test run.

more luck than anything I reckon. Haven't bagged many squid

lately and was getting in that frame of mind where you question

yourself and get in a spin. What gear? What jig? Where to try?

This fishing gig takes patience eh.
