Sven Graham Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 I have a 475 Bayhunter Caprice and there doesn't seem to be much room for a live bait tank and am looking for a way to fit one (or preferably have one fitted for me) Can any one tell me where in Sydney to go for this Also any tips on the best setup Cheers
Geoff Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 (edited) LBT are normally located on or near the transom & the one most appropiate to your boat will depend on the transom , rear deck layout. If you can post photo's of this area , both from the inside & outside would be of assistance for members to make suggestions. Also , do you have a budget as tanks , plumbing & electrics can run into several hundred $$$$ just for parts before any labour is added. Here is one style for consideration but there are others Geoff Edited January 26, 2010 by Geoff
gretsch Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 Intake at the very bottom and the overflow outlets at the top. This way, the tank will clear quickly if your squid ink it up!
Sven Graham Posted January 27, 2010 Author Posted January 27, 2010 Thanks guys....here is what my boat looks like....would like to keep the seat though
henryqc87 Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 Mate, how often do you use the bait tank?. If not, just rivet the pump to the transom, wire it, host and a portable 20 litres bucket with an inlet and outlet. If you want a good and free plastic 20 litre container just ask any restaurant. This way all you need is to put on or remove the bucket without compromise the aesthetic of you boat. This may be the cheapest way that will serve your purpose and best of all you can do it yourself. Cheers,
