Twice now Okuma has come to the party mailing out spare parts to me the very next day - no questions asked. First time it was a handle (replaced) and second time was a spool clicker (whole spool replaced) - two different reels.

Not happy initially that I needed to replace parts within a year of using them but these reels get quite a bit of use so you gotta be happy with that !

I would Say Okuma has one of the best warranty service out their, I have called many time need bearing replacement bearing only to find a bag of bearing turn up the following day. Their service is A1 and as always no questions asked.

The boys from Shimano once sent me a side cover for one of my Stellas the next day and free of charge. This wasn't even a warranty claim.. just my own stupidity!! :1prop:

I'd have to agree with many of the big brand name....Diawa have sent out a few bits and pieces and when my Javis Walker water sanke needed an electrical bit out of warranty, out it came.....I think the industry is that competitve that if they don't comply they will get punished by the customers....plus forums like Raider might have them a little worried.

I've read (on forums!) that some people have found the "D" company takes a long time to service reels and at times replacing or fixing items.

As usual, these could be just a few instances where people have blown their problems out of proportion i.e. user and not manufacturer fault etc.

I have had dealings with

the big 2 and never had a issue

with very good service and fast turn around

or item to me within 2days max

occasionally as we know you may hear or have had a issue with any thing you are getting fixed

from home appliances,cars, houses

Ive replaced most of my reels with Okuma's, im yet to have anything fail on any of them but ive had them serviced at Okuma with no problems at all and excellent customer service.

Shame i cant say the same about 2 other manufacturers i used.

Truuuueee that on Daiwa when it comes to servicing they're the worst when it comes

to service for your gear too long too wait on repairs and warranty issues when Shimano

are always on the ball with their customers, also i'm not being biased on this issue because

i have both brands in my fishing arsenal and both just as good as each other.
