aegan123 Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 Hi There Maybe one for all the tackle junkies out there. Can someone explain the difference between the 2500 size and the 2506 size for the new Daiwa Caldia? Looking at the specs it seems that they have the same gearing, the 2506 is slightly lighter, but the main difference seems to be that the 2506 model has an "air spool" and 3 kg of drag as opposed to 7kg for the 2500. Why is this so? Do they have specific uses? Thanks
johnno Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 2500 is pretty much standard set up 2506 is a shallow spool more designed for braided lines/finer diameter and more finese style fishing ie no need for 7kg of drag.
