slinkymalinky
Hey cut_loose, Uuuummmmm, about that Distance Spin... I'd advise looking at something else. I've got one but for flattie and bream plasticing the butt of the Distance Spin is too long to be ideal. You might want to think about something with a shorter single-handed butt, set up for flicking lures one-handed. I mainly use my Distance Spin for throwing small metals from the boat (or at least, I did until I got a 2-5kg Lox). If you want a Nitro, have a look at the Powerbream or one of the Vapor series. If you want something a little longer, there's a 2-4kg Lox (7'6") and there's a bunch of good rods in the 7'2" area (T-curve, Berkley Drop Shot, etc). A 7' rod is a great option and there are heaps of choices. A lot of my estuary plastic fishing is done with even shorter rods though as often accurate casting is more important than distance casting. Just depends on your priorities. Cheers, Slinky

Don't be fooled by the 1-3kg rating, although I use it mainly for bream and fltties I have caught kingies and salmon on it with light line without a problem. They are very light and cast a mile.
