Woke up yesturday and saw a break in the rain so asked the :wife:mrs if she wanted to come with me for a fish so we headed over to my fav tackle store to pick up some stuff as i wanted to try fishing for bream on lures got some nice lil pencil lures that looked a treat headed over to tom uglys bridge first for a bit of a mess around tide was wayyyy too low so i suggested we try somewhere else after about 1.5hrs of checking out dif spots i decided to head back to picnic point armed with live worms and fresh prawns ( as my wife is fairly new to fishing ) so i was flicking out lures unfortunatly no decent weed beds around picnic point area but was good enough for bait fishn about soon as we get there it starts raining again my wife says oh well lil rain aint gonna hurt i thought SWEET! 20 minutes in i tell my wife to switch over from the prawns to the worms and feels a bite almost straight away i tell her to yank and it pulls from the fishs mouth so she rebaits i cast it in for her and once again almost instantly another bite so i set the hook and pass it to her (knowing the fish is on, but not telling her :P) she got all excited when she felt the fish on shes reeling it in and her drag starts to fly off n im thinking to my self wtf did i just give to her haha, after a small fight she brings up a nice fat 36cm whiting the hook was too far down its mouth so i kept that one :( i wanted to release but oh well, after that i landed a MASSIVE 19cm whiting and a 12cm flathead (my hook was bigger than the flathead and it had swalled it whole done my best to pull it out without killing it) ........ wow did i feel like crap :P outfished by my mrs
