tinny1
Headed out for the usual Friday lunch time departure from Cooks River ramp , after having a chat with the lads at Botany Bay bait n tackle we geared up with some frozen Hawksbury squid , fresh prawns, sand worms and a few other bits n peices we felt we should be set for a reasonable arvo.Got to Molinuex Pt around 1.30pm ,had a berly going and dropped 4 lines down to the 16mtr mark , 2 light rigs with sandworms and prawns , 1 whole squid bait on 30lb braid and a 15lb ****** Jervis Walker special loaded with a massive hawksbury prawn, and guess what took off 1st ladies , yes thats right the the Jervis walker screamed like a runnaway train , it was one of the hardest runs iv'e seen from a rat king ever and on a feekin prawn ,this thing was on steroids probably loaded with super from the refinery maybe , my offsidder was dissapointed once we measured him up to 56cm , sorry champ too small was my call a quick photo and it was back in the drink , we went for another 3 hrs and landed flounder ,bream ,flattys and a nice soapy around 52cm all in all a good arvo on the bay Edited February 22, 2010 by tinny1
