Advice For A Newbie Land Based Fisher

: G’day guys was wondering if any one could give a land based newbie a bit of advice, I will be going around the harbor this week end and was hoping one or many of you would like to share experienced advice on how to and what type of rig to use to haul in a kingie from the shore line ( if that’s even possible ??) any advice would be greatly appreciated

Just make sure you watch those waves and keep safe mate.

your best bet is the night before or in the morning gather a few squid - kings cant resist fresh squid

Hey mate, head down to middle head on the rocks cast over the weed and catch a few squid. You can put it out live or make strips and sit it under a float, try and fish a drop off and burley wont be a bad idea.. Another good spot is the spit bridge on the NE side, patience is needed until they come past.Cheers Matt
