Crabbing On Hawkesbury

I heard the water is very muddy this moment due to the rains. I think it must be correct.

Would the dirty water affect the chance to catch blueswimmers?

We did not catch anything last time, very disappointed. Have not been there for almost a month ever since.

Anyone has caught good size crabs lately on Hawkesbury River?

There have been some decent Blue Swimmers in the lower Hawkesbury recently - even in the dirty water. We've caught them on lines and in witches hats. The water seemed to affect the fishing, but not the crabs.

Nothing stops the eels, catfish and rays which will drive you nuts if baitfishing at night.
