Any River Beaches To Beach Boat?

Hey All,

Looking at going out with the family in a few weeks while the weathers still warm for a picnic on a quiet river beach somewhere for the kids and so i can beach the boat easily and have a picnic and also take everyone ski tubing.

Does anyone have any idea's where there are some good places, at the moment all i can think of is the small beaches on Georges River near the National Park boat ramp at Revesby, but i have heard they get pretty packed on weekends? The beach area also has to have car access so people can drive there so im not taxi'ing everyone from the boat ramp to a beach in the boat.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

It's a long way around for you but Bonnie Vale on the south side of Port Hacking is a nice spot for what you have in mind. Actually, it's not so far for you, as you can boat across but others would have to drive there.

I was actually just looking around there, the bundeena bay and simpson bay area and dropping the boat in at Gunnamatta or Dolans Bay and darting across the bay, i think thats the best option.

Launch at Dolans Bay the ramp is heeps better there and it is quicker to the bays
