Good Marine Mechanic/workshop

Hi All,

Can someone PM me a good marine workshop to carry out service (and repair) on a 2 stroke 70hp Johnson outboard and fiber glass patching work on boat hull in or close to Liverpool area in NSW please.

+1 to Hewitt Marine for the engine. They may be a fair drive but if you pick a time where theres no traffic it can be done in no time.

Took my 1980 johnson 70 there to get her going and they were straightforward and told me exactly what i needed and what not to bother with.

They got my engine running beautifully without alot of the unnecessary works i was quoted for by other mechanics.

If i cant fix electrical problems myself this week i will surely book in there.

we took it to a well known marine mechanic in croydon first and were kicking ourselves afterwards for the waste of time and money that place was, we should have just bit the bullet and gone with quality first.

P.S. im a fulltime student so you can consider me to be the biggest tightass around and i found them fair and helpful.

But do you mean "Huett marine"? Hope so, as I've dropped them a PM, and hopefully they will be able to fit us into their schedule. They're in the Cowan area, which is only 50 mintues/1 hour away from Liverpool (we go fishing in the Hawkesbury River every now and then), so that's not too bad, especially if you get good customer service it would make it all worthwhile.

I second that!! Im also a full time student and wasted $400 getting a service by a local mob only to have my engine running like shit afterwards. Took it in to hueys, took a bit of time but was worth the wait and will only be getting any future works performed by them...
