fishkiller
been a while since it has been suitable to fish here with all the big s/e winds, over 3 weeks and before that the water was dirty,so it was good to get a day on the water.new size limits cut the bag down, with at least 10 bream over 23cm but less than 25,2 tailor over 30 but under 35,1 by 1/2 a cm,and a snapper that went 31cm but needs to be 35,add that to the normal tally of put backs, plus a dozen stingrays, it makes it a busy day.ended up with 2 bream, one went 33cm,and two whiting, both around 30cm and a shark that fitted in under the 1 1/2 metre limit, just.learned the hard way that landing net doesn't last forever,4 years old, hooked nice whaler(maybe too big to keep) 30 minutes into fishing using pilly under a float, got it into the net and as i tried to lift it into boat the bottom of the net tore open with the weight, shark hit water and bolts, main line parts above float, and fish and float in tow head off across shallows,i nearly caught up with the float before it found deeper water and i lost sight of them[scenes of JAWS did flash into my mind].new netting will be fitted before the PIRTEK CHALLENGE,you can be sure.to all fishraiders that are entered, hope you get a winner.
