Flightmanager
I would think 600 to 700 RPM. Ross

chrisg
Jewie Probably a little high but remember there's no back pressure from the water around the exhaust gases coming from the prop. If it idles at 700rpm odd on the water the idle is set about right. Consider getting one of those prop silencers (boat places have them) for flushing. Rpm's will drop to usual levels plus your flushing will be much quieter and appreciated by all. C. Edited March 29, 2010 by chrisg
a boat
Hi, on the flusher in neutral the idel RPM wants to be about 1000RPM. If you are working on adjusting idle and mixtures on the flusher you are wasting your time, that really needs be done in the water where you have back pressure, as Chris said the engine mufflers are good but still will change in the water and in gear with load on engine. Cheers, Huey.
