Breambucket
Hey guys hit the bay again this arvo for a solo session because my mate had to pull out because of family commitments. I decided to try my luck right in the middle of the bay in around 4 m of water and it was a slow start with only a couple of pinkies, decided to get a little closer to towra (about 500m off) and found a few nice trevally dropped a nice flattie and landed this nice and fat bream I have been having great luck recently with the bream and most of them coming from either 2inch berkley jigging grubs in watermelon or the ecogear zx blades I threw the larger bream back along with around 8 trevally but kept one trev and another 2 nice sized bream 35-37cm and went to my mates house to have them for dinner! yum! Im hopefully goin out to lave cove to try that out tommrrow so hopefully ill have a good report for you guys Cheers Pete
pmak
Breambucket, looks like you're living up to your screen name! Seems like you fish the deeper water quite a bit. Must try that too next time. I'm usually closer to shore in 2-3m of water when I'm around Kurnell and usually over the weed beds as well. What size/weight jig heads do you use? Heaviest I can find are 2gram squidgy jigheads on No. 4 hooks for the 2" grubs. Must explore the Towra area as well ...
