Breambo22
Hi Raiders, Me and Tony went for a fish yesterday at berowra. Started fishing at the first spot just before 7.00am. Caught a lot of cockies at this spot so we moved on. Got to the next spot and the tide was going good. Only there for a few minutes before we landed the first bream on mullet. Then another and another. Caught a good size flounder ( for Berowra anyway). Tony caught a few as well on onion. Tried a bit of chicken as well also caught keepers. Stopped just after 11.00am very satisfied with a total of 9 fish. Peter Edited April 18, 2010 by breambo

craigbutcher
Hi Mate, Nice catch of Bream. Did you say Onion as in the soft plastic or literal Onion? Cheers Craig

Cheers Craig Hi The Butch, Onion refers to the heart of a mullet and is very hard and usually a very good bait for bream Peter
wannabefisho
Hi Mate, Nice catch of Bream. Did you say Onion as in the soft plastic or literal Onion? Cheers Craig Craig, the "onion" is a piece of the gut section of the mullet. It sits in the upper section near the head and gills, you cannot mistake it when you gut a fresh Mullet. Like Peter said its tough as and very hard for any fish to take it off the hook. All the gut is TOP bait for BIG Flatties and Bream.
