bassboy888
I recently had purchased a Jaz Zappa and after only catching two fish on it, it has developed a crack down the middle . being in Year 12 and not having that much disposable income for anything, would jaz lures possibly replace the lure if I email them or is it just a waste of my time asking? cheers stu
Jewhunter
Always worth a try mate. They are a gun topwater lure from what I know & I haven't heard of them cracking before. As long as you didn't smack it into any bridges, poles or anything else hard whilst casting then it shouldn't have cracked. Give them a try & let us know how you go. Cheers, Grant. jahajo
Bought a zappa after my last one got bitten off Got it home used it. A few days later used it again and it stopped rattling, and it had cracked in the back third and the bearings had rusted I think its just the way some of them are made, crappy fabrication in china But you can still buy two zappas for a sammy Harry
gooddong
I had this problem either. After first time fishing, it was rusted inside and could not find where it leaked.
Daniel Frost
What a great lure they are , did well in a comp up at Forster Tuncurry with them in January, i have been lucky though as none of mine have yet cracked , and they are a lot cheaper then other lures like sammy's etc , good luck with getting your money back , it's worth a try but these items are consumable items and bream can crack oysters so im sure if they hit the zappa in the right spot it has a good chance of cracking , also they are at a pretty cheap price so I would be surprised to see you get it replaced free of charge , but as they say , it never hurts to ask . P.s , My dad and I met up to fishing a while ago and when i got there he pulled out a bream head , that came off a fish around 1.1 to 1.2 kg and he had about 4 peices of oyster as well these well bitten clean in half ,they were 50cent sized each of them and are probably the biggest bits ive ever seen come from the breams gut . brendong
Hmmm not sure if related but I once left the lid of my lure tray open in the height of summer and noticed one of my Suga Pens swell and crack right up the middle due to the sun beating down on it.....now it has a fat tummy and has a crack but on top, still works and tows straight so now its my rack pen....my tip to everyone is leave your fav toppy's and all hard's for the that matter in the shade or back in your bag...in fact I could smell the resin heating up on others but luckily they shape didn't warp...
