Creating Your Own Lures

Hey guys, im interested in starting to make some of my own small lures divers poppers etc.. anyone know where i can buy the lil eyelets/rings etc.. that the hooks sit on? im going to buy a small pencil lathe for couple hundred or maybe buy somthing bigger online to start turning my own lil poppers and torpedo shaped lures, the bibs wont be too hard as i would just be using stainless bent into shape has anyone seen any online tutorials for this kinda stuff i think would be awesome to turn out my own lure and actually catch fish on it.
