Long Weekend Weather

hi raiders , who went outside fishing either sunday/monday morning , i missed out but from the wind charts i seen it showed the wind getting up pretty early,can any 1 confirm these weather condition,cheers!

Hey mate,

We were gonna go in yesterday (Monday) morning at Pittwater and out from there until we saw the weather charts as well. So we ended up going in at Roseville and up to the Spit bridge. It was still very blowy/choppy in there. We even had trouble getting the anchor to hold in the wind (gotta get myself a bigger anchor!). Can only imagine it was much worse outside.

I went out sunday, missed out on saturday... the weather was find outside off palm beach, and towards east and west reef... i was out at 6am, and in by midday though, looked very choppy after lunch.. but was like a lake while i was there..

to say it was bad would not be doing it justice, extremly bad to say the least.

Monday at botany was pretty rough had a horrible swell and wind

By 11 am the other boats that were out fishing the same area as us packed up.

Agree.

Planned to head to Cronulla on Monday morning. Got halway out there and turned back - swell was enormous and the winds didn't help either. Fished in the bay for a while, got a few bream at the Sticks. There was hardly anyone in the bay even, maybe about a dozen boats, very quiet for a public holiday.
