Bloody Jackets

Went out fishing with a couple of mates on Tuesday,the weather was good and winds were down as forecast.Unfortunatly the fishing was not.Went to FAD near peak,not much happening there.So headed for wide FAD,nothing there either.We lost a few rigs while trying to score some dollies.We decided to try a drift for flatties off Maroubra but between the five of us in two boats we lost at least six rigs per person.Not happy!!We did here a few reports of a couple of dollies but you had to be there at sun up.

mate, we caught 58 jackets in under an house, but these thing were at least 30cm +, we got 10 about 40cm+

we could not get the jigs past them at the peak, I gave them away and had a couple only, they are ok but bloody pests

My last 2 trips I have nailed close to 100 of them including what my crew cought.

We only got a few Flatties and Morwong, and some others too.

That was at the Peak and off Maroubra.

Gonna try down south tomorrow at Bellambi.

I am not home long.

Just enough to wash out the boat and gear.

Had a reasonable day.

Only boated 2 leather jackets.

1 Snapper.

3 pigs.

3 lorwongs and some wrasse.

Trolled a few lures and dropped 1 fish down deep and out a few km's wide. No idea what though.

I took some pics should I post here or somewhere else.

I don't want to hijack Searunners post.
