Bulk Pillies

Hi all,

just want to know where i can get bulk boxs of pillies,(prefer salted) as me and my mates go thru alot and just trying to keep costs down so we have more $'s for tackle. So if anyone knows anywere we can get them it would be a big help.

I buy em from the fish markets for 5 bucks a kilo and slat them myself. Its easy done and cheap, Slats worth bugger all. All you do it buy 30kg of slat for like 20 bucks. Put the pillys in a bucket and cover them with slat. Leave them in the fridge. Than 3 days later put them into bags and freeze them I'm doing this atm with some Bonito caught the other day, Works a treat.

Thanks heeps mate. Also is that pool salt or just normal salt.i did it to some of the bonito i got from bass pt about a month ago got hit every time the bonito hit the water top stuff mate

Yeah mate there everywhere, Which is great cause there good fun on light gear and are pretty good bait ( Or smoke em, Taste nice i heard )
