mad_mullet
took the mullet out agian on saturday early start got some livies and headed out, hit the shelf and set the spread and 5 minutes into the start of the day wack the long rigger pops, hooked up solid to a nice stripe marlin, deck was cleared and we were chasing it down wile he was going crazy with jumps ect,20 mins into the fight the leaded wore through, damn it, continued to trawl and an hour later the short rigger goes of with another stripe going crazy, didnt even get a chance to clear the deck when he jumped strait on the line for another lost fish ,, continued the day to find a big currant line and followed it south, late arvo on the way back the stella starts screamin off with a nice dolly, wile clearing the deck the fish manages to hook itself on another lure yoooo we yell thinking a double hookup so the skipper (me) is left to pull in the teasers and lines wile trying to drive the boat, the boys were hooked up solid and fighting thinking we had a tangle soon to realise they had the same fish, it went real hard then finally came to the boat where the skipper put in a top effort for a perfect gaf shot and pulled this big puppy into the boat, i only had spring scales on the boat and it went 16kg, we headed home in the dark wile the boys filleted the fish and the beers came out of the esky, top effort from justin and jason on there work today cheers andy Edited May 2, 2010 by mad_mullet
