Cobia Part 2

Managed to catch another cobia at port hacking.

This one not as big, going 52cm long

Cought this guy on tailor fillet and it gave me a nice adrenaline kick.

i love catching these guys now...if only there were more of em around.

winter fishing is a tuff slog...the breams arent very active at the hacking

Nice one mate, you dont see them everyday in sydney waterways.

Fished offshore at Cronulla on sat night and the water temp was 23.5 degrees, i thought the sounder was playing up until i was joined by another boat and he had the same reading.

Does'nt surprise me that there are still warm water fish still lurking around.

By the look of the pic I don't think it's a Cobe.

It looks as though it has a very flat head & also that the fish has a round, rough circle on top of it's head. Did it have that on the top of it's head?

If that's the case then it's a Remora.

im with jewhunter it does look like a Remora

Juvenile cobia have the yellow bandings so I would go for the remora, which in itself is a rare catch.

It would be interesting to see the host of a 52cm Remora. Especially around the Hacking.
