Hey guys,

Been looking at getting a Jig Rod for my 700 tekota. Its loaded up with 30 lb jigging braid. Just wondering what would be a good rod for this reel/line ? I'll be using jigs up to 300 grams.

I looked at T-curves while being a nice rod i dont really want to spend $300 + on a rod im not going to use all to much.

What would be some good rods to look out for under $200 ?

Cheers :1fishing1:

The Shakespeare Ugly Stick Bluewater is good value (should be well under $200). Mine's rated for 24kg though. I'm not sure if they make a lighter one. Bear in mind most people use at least 24kg braid for jigging.

Try have a look at Pioneer GT Pop spin rods.

Prices start at 139 smackers.... i was looking for a multi purpose stick, something for casting popers and something for jigging kings.

Ended up with the 7'6'' model.

One of the best rods ive ever owned!!!!:thumbup:
