Basil D Posted May 26, 2010 Share Posted May 26, 2010 Sorry late report, I have a Samson Omia phone and I lost the usb cable, found it today and decided to post. weed was hard to find on the rocks seems depleted at my usual spot on monday, manged to get a decent couple of handfuls. arrived at my spot and burlied up, after an hour started to have some downs but no hook up, once they got a bit aggressive I started to pick them up, managed a couple only and equaled my PB at 40cm, was a cracking fight the fish was dragging me under the walkway and pylons but managed to hold on and bring him in, I picked up a leather jacket as well when I was waiting for the Blackfish to bite. Lost six fish for some unknown reason, it may be due to my lack of experience with them. But fun they were. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

jewgaffer Posted May 27, 2010 Share Posted May 27, 2010 Well done on the Blackfish Basil In case you're still pondering about them they don't have poisonous fangs or anything like that and you'll find they'll come up quite well when they're cooked but they're not so good when they're not.. Cheers jewgaffer One thing that happened while fishing, I had a down and I could see the fish, only had it for 5 seconds or so, it came off, took, did one big u turn came back and looked at the Bait then took off, who said fish aint smart, I cant believe that fish wanted inspect what just happened?????
