marley
My Dad has a 45 year old bakerlite reel that has finally kicked the bucket. His birthday is coming up shortly so I thought it would be a good idea to get him a nice centrepin. He only fishes the harbour or estuary. Does anyone know where I can get my hands on a good reel. Any help is much appreciated thanks everyone gav
arpie
Most good tackle shops (our sponsors included) will put you onto the good oil re centrepin reels, Gav. If you want some indepth information on centrepin reels, pm Luderick-angler - he has amazing knowledge of centrepin reels!! Roberta
luderick -angler
Cheers for that Roberta. Gav PM sent! BTW any one else looking at good pins' look to the UK or the guy who makes the JRV if he still does awesome repo of the Avon Royal but for saltwater, the Shakespeare Eagle is not bad also! And I have not forgot the Alvey, though it lacks a decent ratchet!
