arpie
Hi all Sometime around Xmas, I bought the latest issue of Sport Fishing Magazine/Yak Fisher & sent off a coupon in for the Pro Angler that was on offer as a prize (as you do) ....... and, just to be different, I put it in Keith's Name & then promptly forgot about it (as you do!) Months passed .......... then...... Blow me down, a few days after Steve Fields had rung me with the Wild Card Entry for the Grand FInal, he is on the phone to us again, telling Keith that he had won the PA!!! Now Keith was a little perplexed, as I hadn't told him I'd entered him into the competition!! SO he handed the phone to me saying, my wife is the one who does the fishing!!! I say 'Hello' (not knowing who is on the other end) and Steve Fields says "Roberta? I don't believe it!! You'd better go out & buy a lottery ticket, as not only are you in the Grand Final, but your husband has just won the Pro Angler competiton!!!" To say that I was amazed would be an understatement!!! It was just a day or 2 before we left to go to Byron Bay, so we ducked down to the local dealer so that a photo could be taken with the PA there ..... and that is the pic that is in the magazine!! So, How Amazing is that??? aaaaaaghhhhh!!! We haven't got it yet, but it will be difficult to find a spot in the garage to fit it, with it being so large!! I am sure we will come up with some good idea!! I reckoned we could get rid of Keith's yak (hanging from the ceiling that hasn't been used in 3 years & relegate it to a dark space somewere .......) With it being my birthday during the week, he very kindly 'gave' it to me!! Isn't that kind of him?? I am looking forward to receiving it - I'd never been in one prior to the Grand Final and it was always a pipe dream, to own one!! So, there is another one up for grabs in the Fishing Monthly Magazine just now - go & put your 25 words in, cos SOMEONE has to win it - and it may as well be you!!! Cheerio & tight lines Roberta This is one of my fishing buddy's (the guy who pulled me out of trouble using it, at SWR!) Built for comfort, with a neat tackle bucket & oodles of space for 'stuff' and Stable enough to stand up in & fish! At over 4m long & over 1m wide, they are a serious fishing tool including undercover storage for 6 rods!! Three rods fit into the rod slots on both sides (see left side)
jewgaffer
An absolutely fabulous prize to win Roberta nice colour in white too ay... are you going to set it up the way you want it and use it yourself and keep the old yak as a spare and for Keith to use are you, if so a new look from now on will be just about all you'll need to take you from strength to strength in the yak tournaments I'll bet Cheers jewgaffer

paul.kenny
Well done Roberta and such a great birthday present from Keith!!!! I have just convinced Bassboy888 to enter the Fishing Monthly Magazine competition so that I do not need to help him buy a fishing craft when he goes off to Uni next year......nowing that you just won a PA I might now just do the same I saw a Pro Angler in my local dealer and it would make an outstanding alternate option for my boat or a HSC graduation present for Bassboy888.
