hey guys,

no luck at all, we hit the water at 6am and had about 10 yakkas in the live well by about 7am (couldn't find the squid either). Anyway we downrigged the yakkas all along south head (wide and in close) and didn't get a single hit, the yakkas just kept going missing (probaly due to LJ's).

then we stopped and started drifting and realized we were leaking hydraulic fluid from the steering. we headed back into the harbour before the leak got to bad and fished the wedding cakes for a while. poppa's, live bait and down rigging, nothing worked so we anchored up and decided to resort to a feed of leather jackets since we couldn't catch any kingies. ended up with 10 LJ's (3 different species of them) and slowly made our way back to the ramp with very limited steering.
