Hawkesbery 13/6/10

cut_loose

Recommended Posts

Was going to go down the basin this weekend BUT with the weather reports canned it and went down to the hawkesbery for the day.

Fished for a few hours and we were fishing around 20 boats and were pretty much the only ones bringing in fish. :)

Bream ranged from 26cm to 32cm. Chopper was 36cm. Leatherjacket was 41cm.

That's a great feed there. Well done cut_loose, especially if you were the only boat getting good fish in that area! Big jacket too!

So what was your secret? Bait? Rig? Technique? Or just lucky? :biggrin2:

Cheers

Peter

Bait ? Nah i was using bait bought from the fish markets for a change. Ran out of Bonito i caught. Need to get some more haha.

Rig ? Nah i seen some other boats in the area using the same rig.

I was just the way i was fishing. Light tackle and the way i was fishing with it. :)

Nice session Cut Loose, you certainly outfished all and sundry in that nice little session mate, I reckon you must have fished just right for the bream and used some magic ingredients too  It's strange there hasn't been many trevally around at all in the bream spots as they're the predominant catch just about everywhere else at the moment

Cheers
