mimyo
g`day raiders, my brother bought himself a 5.5mtre formosa with a 125 optimax and yesterday was the first time we took it out to browns. Tried to get some livies but we got zip. Armed with 15kilos of pillys we hammered all the way! The sea and day was just perfect, pity the fishing wasn`t, but you know what they say "a bad days fishing is better than a good day at work!" is spot on. Pulling up to browns was at least 30 boats, so we trolled around them for a suss and my bro got a 4kg stripy on a xmas tree for bait and the cube trail. Our drift saw us heading east of browns and we stayed with our trail till we pulled up lines at 4.30. We didnt see any tuna in our trial except for 1 jacket which i wasnt expecting? Heaps of stripys all around us chasing the smallest baitfish i have ever seen, anyone what they are? I was throwing around a 10g slug and they weren`t interested in that either. So with so many boats out there how did ya go? Thanks mim.
oz_brett
How did the Formosa go out side? I was looking to buy one myself then decided to go up a size (at the time formosa didnt make any bigger then 5.5mtr) But still I think they are an excellent boat. mimyo
Awesome oz_brett, i was really impressed by how it just sliced thru the water and a very quiet ride, also very stable at rest and easy to tow too. It ought too considering how good the conditions were, my cruiseabout would`ve made out there yesterday, it was that calm. Great looking boat the formosa and built tough too.
