lukewalker
I have a transducer connected to my Lowrance HDS-5 and I'm trying to work out what type it is so I can configure the sounder. There is a number on the end of the cable with a blue connector with a sticker on it with the following numbers: 6387 E-710 REV-B I'm new to boating and certainly new to sounders so I'm hoping you can help. Any ideas?
chrisg
Can't tell you what it is but the sounder will. If its a 200hz only you will not be able to setup the 50hz settings in the menu. Like wise if its a 50/200hz you can play and display both. C.

chrisg
The standard 50/200hz Skimmer is a HST-WSBL I think. The 83hz is a bit like a side band frequency you get anyway but newer sounders let you use this. If I remember you can only split display either 50/83 or 83/200hz. Set up the 83/200Hz displays if you are generally working in water less than 50 - 75ft deep. For deeper water you use 50/83hz. C.
