I fished in a 6.5m Offshore for several seasons back in eaqrly 90's. Boat was fitted with a 4 cyl mercruiser and was a pretty good hull. Not the greaest ride but pretty good and quite dry, very predictable and stable at rest. No probs with splitting or corrosion despite heavy work. Accounted for a lot of good fish.

Cheers

G/day WEN,

It looks very much like the plate boats built in NZ.

But I don't think any were called Offshore.

I was told the boat is build in OZ !!

nice boat

and even nicer location

is that a ramp in there backyard

what are they asking for the boat ??

I wish my backyard are like that !! asking around $25K for it with 140 Suzuki 4 stroke !!

Hi Wen ,

They were built on the North shore , Tough solid boats , Dry riding . I have a 7.5 metre which is an ongoing project .

My boat was originally set up with an inboard diesel 6 cylinder , it now has a new transom a will be powered by a single outboard . Most of the offshore boats that i used to see running around had inboards.

Hi Wen I had a quick look on Google would this be the "Offshore" brand name you are looking at? If so it might have been two packed after it was purchased hence the lack of stickers... I've seen Johnny Dogtooth's big Plate boat in the flesh and it's quite a machine and a very interesting deep sea project boat indeed..
