Basil D Posted June 23, 2010 Share Posted June 23, 2010 (edited) Hi all, had a chat with Adjustedpete Tuesday and we decided we head out for a fish. I text peterS as this guys know the system well, but the conditions would not come to the party. Plane 1 was a Squid sesh, as we headed out to Jibon beach we got one Bonito on the trawl, so decided to keep going, Got outside wide of the Bommie down 1km past the Bommie and back for a donut and back to plan one, Squid sesh. no squid today, so we trawled back to Cronulla and anchored up about 40meter from the head land and let out enough rope to get withing 20meter, we Burlied and got stuck into some trevs, the plan was Drummer, Not complaining we still got some fish and one undersized drummer that gave me a good fight, then I got two gulls in a row (not on purpose) so I had this Gull kite going and it was peeling line , after a 3 minute fight I looked at Peter and said, its getting tierd we packed up when it got quiet and headed into one of the rivers National park side for Bream, well no Bream today as well but ended up with one whiting and one Flounder. Each time me and Pete go fishing we get nothing Not today, we broke our Jinx only Just:tease: Pete, the soft Plastics are for the fish mate, NOT ME' OUCH!!!! Top day on the water it turned out to be and we had a good Rain break so we dint get wet. PS, the pink thongs sneaking in at the bottom of the photo are for Keflapod No Point making a new thread without pics. Went to botany bay with a friend of mine woh Loves Trevally. Went Trevally ally and caught 20 trevs today Sunday the 27th smallest 33cm and bigest 40cm, sorry no pics, left the damm phone at home. At least you broke your "jinx" and got a few. I'm surprised you only got one bonito. They usually hang around in numbers. However, you scored a few good trevs, and flounder is one of my favourite fish. Did Pete attack you with a few sps? And were any of the gulls pbs? Cheers Peter yeah peter the swell wasn't pleasant and the Boat got a good wash There were plenty of those small birds around meaning fish, but only one Bonito.
