Cornet Fish Caught At The Peak

Hey all went to the peak on sunday 3 kings 66cm-68cm and heap off jackets and lost my 4th king to a seal I also caught a cornet fish which the seal got his hands on but i won this fight and got the cornet to the boat for a picture

And I wasnt the only one that the sael got to

That cornetfish is one very weird creature!

Seals can be annoying at times, especially when they pinch a nice kingy! At least you managed a few to take home.

Did you lose many jigs to the jackets?

Hey peter we lost a total off 8jigs and 3 shamino octo jigs but well worth it the king i lost was my biggest king ever 5 min fight on 30lb gear to get it up about 40 meters then the seal took his dive and brought him up to surface then threw it about tryin to brake it up it looked about 80cm but thats fishing another good story and when ya loose a fish it just makes ya want to get back out again

Hi Guys,

Had the same problem with a seal at Jibbon bommie yesterday staeling my hard caught snapper. It sure was a race to get the fish into the boat, you win some you lose some.

Not to sure mate only been fishing for about 8 months only gettin to know the fish over here im from ireland moved here 3 years ago and met my mate adam who got me into it and now im hooked
