Hi, with props no matter waht brand of prop or outboard you will need to know what pitch you currently have and also what your WOT RPM is with a normal load at present and we can go from there. A SST prop to suit your engine is about $600-$700 while an alloy prop saves a few hundred dollars but they do not perform as well. of course being a Raider we can offer discounts.

Cheers,

Huey,

Congratulations on the purchase wen

100hp 4stroke isnt a huge amount of power for a 5.6m alloy but it should be adaquate within reason. Im pretty sure the F100's normally came with factory stainless props.

Theres a few standard questions that will be asked. Why do you want to change the prop? Is it damaged, the wrong size or not suited to the type of activities you do?

People often seek to change prop if they want better out-of-the-hole performance, such as when water sking.

Or if the existing prop doesnt allow the motor to reach its proper rev range. I think that motor should reach 5500-5800rpm flat out (WOT). Someone else may be able to confirm the factory spec for that motor.

On occasions a prop change (or recupping/tuning) can improve poor handling by improving lift, reducing cavitation etc etc. If you have poor performance or handling, it could also be caused by bad weight distribution or a motor mounted/trimmed at the wrong height.

EDIT: I just notice that Huey replied while I was still typing and ive probably repeated some of what hes already said

cheers

Hi Rod,

thankyou very much for your advise, the reason I wanna change the props is the cureent props on the motor seen to be a bit small (comparing to my Yamaha 90hp 2 storke factory one) and there are a little bit damage. I just got the boat and I have not taken the boat out for a run yet so I dont know how is that gonna perform, maybe I should do that first and see how it go. also rod do u know any reputable mobile marine mechanic I can contact coz I might need to do a service on the outboard !! cheers dude..

Hi Wen, good plan mate, not much we can do without knowing what the current prop does and as Rod said what you are trying to achieve by changing props-that said there is not one prop that will offer the best acceration and the most speed-it is all a compremise. Let us know after you run her again and we might be able to work out a deal for the MT403G and prop at once.

Cheers,

Huey.
