Geoff
Went to Currarong yesterday with Jewgaffer to check out a few accommodation rentals & the status of the new boat ramp.. Work commenced in mid June with a planned completion date in late October Below are a few photo's of the progress thus far. These were taken at about half tide so it's a bit difficult to see what has actually occurred but it appears the rock shelf has been removed making it ready for concrete. There is still a lot to be done but things are progressing For those familiar with the area the new ramp is a few meters from the existing beach ramp Geoff
BreamChaser
That is sensational news. Head down South every xmas but have never fished Currarong as couldn't get me boat in on the old ramp. Hopefully will be up and running by xmas!

I E Mailed Shoalhaven Concil a few days ago requesting an up date. Still waiting for a reply. Geoff
I have received the following advice from Shoalhaven Council, "The project is behind schedule but hoping for it to be finished before Christmas." Geoff

Geoff Given it was Shoalhaven council did they mention if that was 2010 or 2011 Christmas....
michaelrdoyle@gmail.com
I eyeballed it the other day.... and there's significant work to do. Some work has been done, but it's still a fair way from being completed. Locals are saying "christmas" - however, I wouldn't be surprised if it was January or even February. One of the issues is the Northeasterly and the bad weather they've been having - really slows down the work. Mike
