Radio Frequencies

I was just wondering what radio frequencies you all use to talk to each other in various areas.

If I was to turn up somewhere for a fish, what frequency could I use to call other Raiders in the area for local info or just to see how everyone is doing?

Do you use different frequencies in different areas or do you all use channel 96 on the 27MHz band? And what about VHF?

I personally use 27 mhz but I think a lot of members are doing the switch to VHF. My radio this year will be thrown in the garbage almost 5 years old and corrosion starts to attack them when they are that old in my opinion so I will be doing one of those online coarses and I will make the switch this year to vhf. I'd say 27mhz would still be widely used though as you don't need a licence for it. So perhaps you can invest in two radio's for better fishraider coverage!! lol

I have one of each in boat ,as a lot of my mates use 27mhz,

but most use VHF,I just toggle back and forth.
