I have been out in the parra 3 times in the last month and have not noticed a drop in captures.

I have caught a heap of bream, flatties, trevally, mullet and estuary perch.

I have not targeted jewies at all so I can't comment on that.

Got some great bream yesterday so they are still around, just need to move around on the hunt.

I fish LCR and Parra Rivers- captures have dropped dramatically for me LB using bait, down from an average of 4 keepers+ a session to NONE in the last 3 outings

No Jews to report of... Bream have dropped off the bite... No Flatties and no Whiting in my local where we were getting a few every session on prawns, they were undersize but we still get them while they school up near the sand flats.

Water temp is down to 12/13 degrees in LCR and around Gladesville, very chilly indeed.

Maybe plastics or blades might get better captures than bait but I have personally noticed the drop in catch and hookup rates in the last 3 weeks for sure.

Im going to hit up the beaches the water temp is slightly higher (around 15/16 degrees) and the Jews should be hanging out with the Taylor schools congregating around sunset, Sambo's are starting to come on the chew and will start firing up in August/September.

Good luck fishin mate

I have to say I have found it very slow in the LCR too. Went out last thursday for a flick - one trevor.

Saturday produced three hard earnt flattys in the very upper reaches.

Today - quick flick near the mouth of LCR produced a doughnut. Not even a hit.

All three sessions was using plastics.

Somethings gotta give soon.

Let us know if you have any more luck than me.

only new member to this site but have been out the last 3 mondays and have bagged out on bream and trevs ,ounce you start berleying the fish come on ,remember short traces in winter as most bream feed on the bottom ,long traces will loose baits tailor, sinker on hook and fish about 2-3metres deep to catch trevs .

try using pillie fillets on a long shank for better results.

enjoy alex
