mindripper
Good day Raiders!!! Fist time poster here. Went to Lambeth Reserve last sat morning and spent about 2 hours for a big fat 0 and decided to move to Kelso beach as I have seen a couple of fishos that caught some reasonably sized breams there a couple of weeks back. Arrived there but the tide was really low but still very keen to wet a line. First cast hit a snag and thought it really isnt my day but still persisted. Second cast went near the red marker pole, I was still on my way back to the rod holder and my reel was still open when it just started to take out line (damnit i didnt even hear the wonderful ZZzzzzzzzzzzzttttttt sound!) I thought its either a flathead or a big bream as it has a fair bit if weight to it. after about 5 minutes of battling, out came this salmon and I was really shocked... i dont know how common it is to catch this fish here but hey I'll take it. Will surely be back next week to try my luck again. Caught on peeled prawn. Tight Lines everyone! Edited July 26, 2010 by mindripper

Pongrass18ft
Hi Mindripper, Lovely catch for the Georges River. I haven't caught Salmon that far up the river before. Well done. Next time you go down to Lambeth Park in the day use blood worms off the walkway near the red channel marker and you will catch all species of fish as it is deep water there. Even Jewfish can be caught there in the day using worms. Let me know how you go. GOOD LUCK!!! Chris (Pongrass18ft)
