Pongrass18ft
Late start today, hitting the water at 9:00am. Went for a trawl along the Shelf for fat zero's, saw plenty of bait about and weather was perfect so headed out to Browns after lunch. We managed six large Gemfish caught with slimy Mackerel which I had caught from Sunday's trip. Gemfish were easily caught as the place is thick with them at the moment. Continued trawling with no success but we were still rapped as we all got a feed and enjoyed a perfect day on the water. Chris
Citypainter
Gooday Chris. Great to hear that Gems are in numbers. I think the bag limit is too low on them. Anyway I also think they are great eating. Well done

I find they are more tastier than the Blue Eye Cod. I'm with you on the bag limit because when you let them go they are dead anyway. Yesterday people were gaffing them off the surface on their way home from Trolling.....we all had a chuckle as we were doing the drops. Good luck next time you go fishing and hopefully see you out there. Chris
