Csaba
I just bought a used Omega Altise APC12RC portable a/c and heats. However, it looks like the control panel took a nice shot and the buttons are stuck. As well as, the thing only turns on when I plug it in. Anyhow, anybody know where, who, how to fix this? I was thinking of just taking the whole thing apart and see what happens.... Edited July 28, 2010 by Big_Muskellunge

But for somebody who has an idea about electrical and electronics its a very simple fix. Worst case scenario it will require a new part which wouldnt be much. I repair alot of my own electronics and gadgets but not being an authorised repairer i wouldnt go doing it for other people. Plenty of places around who repair electrical appliances and power tools, they can all sort u out. Musty

So I did decide to take it apart only to be stopped by a screw that requires a thin, long (+150mm) philips head screw driver. Its hidden and I cannot take the stupid plastic cover off without it. Off to Bunnings...as my wife laughs.
