Aqua Naut
Headed out again with Kev for a quick 4 hour session. Day started off very foggy but cleared mid morning. Seas flat and it looked promising. Achored up near Mol/point and some good returns on the sounder so we dropped the baits. Within 5 mins we all three rods go off at once 2 Rods with Pilchard baits the other jigging the bottom with a Gillies 25gm shiner. 3 great sized Salmon around the 55cm mark. It then got quiet so we pulled up achor and headed outside. Found some good marks outside Maroubra and water temp being a pleasant 18oC we thought we might be in for some good Kings. Had several rods out with Squid pilchard and mackrel baits. plenty activity and rods were bending over. Hooked a few reef species Sweap Sargent bakers and yrass. Then one of the other rods which had the squid bait goes off and it was looking like a good king. Got it close to the boat when it did a big bolt to the bottom again when it saw the net and ping.... Not happy Jan. Not a big King but it was a keeper. Anyway a bit of fun for a change and some action. Tight Lines!!!
