Kooks
Hey All, I heading up to the Hawkesbury this weekend and I'm after some livies (Poddies/Yellowtail). Can anyone suggest where to track some down. I've tried a few places my gut thought were right but no luck except for hungry tailor. I'll be getting in at Berowra and heading up to the rail bridge. So anywhere between those 2 points would be great. Also any tips on where things are biting would be a help too. cheers KOOKs PS: This is my first post...hopefully my next one will be with a pic of a nice Hawkesbury jewie. hookmeup
Hey Kooks, we had no problem right next to the boat ramp at Berowra,in that little channel, but it must be a little sunny, and lowish tide (we found), bait trap about 1 foot below the surface, bread inside (& weight to keep it down) & voila, it can take a while but once the first is in they follow like sheep, we also found that once we had a few we would take them out but always leave 1 or 2 inside to attract more, good luck
Kooks
thanks Hooks. I'll be down there on a rising tide at 8am. I'll bring my bait trap and see how i go.
