yting
G'day all, long time no post. Some of you guys might remember me as the fisherman that was nearly sent around the bend by our old friend the Mulloway. Been in the Uk for 2 years now so kind of lost touch with the latest Jew news. However I'm coming home for xmas and am desperate to give it a couple of goes while i'm there. If you remember I target Jewies at Cronulla/Wanda/Greenhills so basically I'm just after any news from that area recently. Has anything changed? has anyone had any luck there recently? What are the gutters like these days? Any bait in the area? I figure if I start my research now, then by Dec I'll be back in shape ready for that elusive first. I'm only back for a month so when I do go, I want to pick the peek times to give myself the best chance. Thanks anyone. Nath
King slayer
Mate I can offer one bit of advice from my own experience.. The beach might not be the easiest place to locate Jew in a short time period. Myself and best mate have been fishing the beaches for jew for 2 years quite seriously, and it took most of that time to just work out consistency on the the other species like salmon and bream/tailor. Only two jew landed in that whole time between us on the sand, and we go once or twice a week on average. On the other hand I fish in the harbour on our tinnie for jew once every week or two and more often than not I get a few. It might just be me, but it seem a whole lot easier in the harbour to locate them, and if I only had a month to get the monkey off my back, I know what I would do. Good luck though Dave

Good luck though Dave Thanks Dave, I certainly appreciate the beach is very difficult to hook a Jew. You see the trouble is, it's become personal with this fish. After countless hrs off the sand it has come to a point where it has to be this way and anything less would not cut the mustard. I feel I deserve a run and I only hope that luck is on my side when I tackle it again. Nath
