bassboy888
After Just having my Trial exams for the past 2 weeks i was very keen to get out and have a flick, unfortunately the weather decided it wanted to be against us. with the Barometer dropping and the wind increasing, the fishing was hard but we persisted. We first hit Lugarno and the wind wasnt too bad, so we decided to give it a try. I was using a TT blade and Basscatcher was using his trusty MF40. after an hour here, i got a 24cm bream (hooked it self while i was on my phone), and Basscatcher caught a 45cm flatty and a smaller one, along with an itty bitty bream. We decided a move was in order so we headed up too Lamberth Park, we stayed here for a while as we kept getting subtle hits, but the wind just became too painful. Basscatcher managed to get a little flatty from this hole, and i Dropped a little EP Our next move took us up to the Moons, again using the blades we fished in the hole at the moons, getting a little peckish, i got out a sandwich and on 2nd bite i hooked up, this time the fish was pulling a fair bit of line and giving a good fight, getting it up boat side and saw a trevally and a PB of 35cm, not huge but i was happy. the rest of the arvo was Slow, nothing biting, so we called it a day. pmak
Hey Bassboy - 2 weeks of no fishing is a long time isn't it? Conditions in the Georges must be tough by all accounts but that trevally must have made your day. THey are one of my favourite species to catch on light tackle. Congratulations on your new PB. Tried using lures, bait etc and still just dead quiet but at least its relaxing on the water yea, We have noticed there has been few reports lately, well at least compared to this time last year. We were surprised with the start of the day to be honest, it was looking promising, too bad the action died off.
