hookmeup
Well after posting last week looking for some marks for longy off we went,up at 5am ready to go, engine oil pressure warning alarm playing up (despite being serviced 1 week earlier) any way motored around to Brooklyn from Cottage point to fill up, (weren't open till 7am so we had to wait 15 mins , decided to through out bait jig for livies at the bowser, first cast pulled in a 20cm chopper , thought beauty start up the live bait tank, my mate gets in under the seat to open the valve & screams WERE SINKING, inlet pipe breaks off in his hand & water is pouring in through a 1" hole straight into the ocean, turn on the bilge pump but it can't keep up with the torrent coming in, grabbed a towel which slowed the flow, all OK temporarily, spoke to the guy in the marina re a dry dock nearby, he said there was one back through the bridges at Brooky, so off we went with a towel jammed in the hole, they were very helpful & luckily the crane was empty at the time, onto the straps & up up away, they were quite surprised to see that the plug on the bottom was made out of aluminium not brass, anyway cleaned out all the crap put in a brass plug bit of sikaflex & all good just let it set, then had a look at the engine, connected up the laptop & apparently these boats had a recall with a faulty oxygen sensor that needs to be replaced, said should be ok but dont go too far out, we ended up going to Longy, but by now the tides were all wrong & pretty much a waste of time, but we all had the day off & were committed to the cause, caught a heap of crap, couple of just under snapper, sgt bakers, rock cod & a tiny tiny flattie,I guess it could have been worse, we could have been right out when this happened,we seem to be jinxed when it comes to fishing, but as we say every time we go, "Here goes another adventure" Photos attached. Tight lines everyone

Day's Fishin
Pinta bay shows up as a deep bay with 3 public mooring's. Is it worth a night time fish and are the moorings taken most of the time. What are the main fish there. Regards Jeff

Regards Jeff Moorings are taken most of the time, but the fishing is the same as any other little bay in the cowan system... Good live bait ground, squid on the edges, flatties & whiting on the flats.....etc
