Shimano Stella Sw 6000 Hg

Giddays Raiders,

I have just received a Stella SW 6000 HG JDM. It has the carbon grip and looks perfect for fishing 40lb braid and throwing baits at Kings or big rubbers at everything else. I have it matched to a 6-10kg plastics rod which I am currently building. Complete with a Matagi Butt Set Up (nice and short at 220mm so you don't hit yourself in the cods when imparting action to the lure) and single foot Fuji K series titanium guides should make it nice and light too. :biggrin2:

The little Stella will pull 13kg of drag which is pretty solid for a little (390 gram) reel!!

Great Stuff

The Stella is already very smooth...don't know how the JDM version is even smoother. But i buy all my reels from Japan now because the quality is different from other countries even if they are the same reel

Yes, the Japanese Domestice Models from both Daiwa and Shimano have upgrades from those models produced for the USA, Eurpoean and Australian markets. The main differences are the bearings inside and externally, handles and spools plus some body parts.

Daiwa has a host of upgrade parts available and Shimano has the Yumeya line of special components.
