Guest
I snuck off down the river for a few hours this arvo near high tide and wanted to see if the blackfish were on the chew. I had some really nice weed that Rickster had given me and sure enough they were around. I landed enough for a feed for my mum and lost a beauty, pulled hooks The average size was really good for the Georges and I was pleasantly surprised. Cheers Stewy
arpie
Good to see someone catching some, Stewy! Nice looking fish, specially the first one! I'm not long back from the breakwall with a single fish ..... dropped one, got one, missed heaps!! Must have lost my touch! They were travelling along the wall but very picky on what they would take. All the regulars were there, not getting any!! Ah well, it was fun trying. Very trying! Cheers Roberta

Only ever done a little bit of black fishing but they surely give a good fight on light gear. pongrass18ft

rickster
They are nice fish, Stewy. Look at least the equivalent of the harbour fish. I take it the water's a good colour so I might venture up into Chipping Norton to give them a go. Rick
