locodave
Hi guys, Took my boat out in the hardbour yesterday for the first time. I normally fish the Hawkesburry River so I had no idea where to go for a catch. I launched in Drummoyne and went to Greenich, Hunters Hill, Balmain, Birchgrove etc. But honestly have no idea where to try. Any hints or tips appreciated, thank you

Day's Fishin
Hi Locodave, the Hawkesbury is my normal stomping grounds also, but I would prefer to fish Sydney harbour anytime. The fish are just about everywhere in the harbour. Nex time you go try fishing Lady Jane and camp cove for squid and then move across to middle head and drift along to the wharf just past the naval base for some great Kings. Just make sure you stay clear of the base as they take a dim view of boats to close. Also try the quarantine base just inside north head for a good general ground, some big flathead taken here as well as bream and occasional king. Burly this spot for some good action.
