Andy Nice
Sorry to make my first post a question but being inexperienced in this fishing/boating life I havent had anything useful to add so far. We have the boat share booked for this sunday/monday and very much looking forward to a weekend on the hawkesbury . The only drawback being my son is a big Roosters fan and doesnt want to miss the final. So my question is , are there any bays on the hawkesbury that you can get tv reception? Thanks for any help. Also thanks to all who add fishing reports , I am learning a lot from all the posts and its much appreciated. fishingrod
Welcome to FR mate. What part of the Hawkesbury are you going to be on ? The river is over 115km long excluding Cowan Creek, Berowra Waters, Pittwater etc cheers Rod
Day's Fishin
Depending on where you are on the Hawkesbury some of it you can't get radio reception. TV reception is virtually non existent. Record it and watch it when you get home. Fishing is a relaxing sport and a time to get away from everything that you normally do. Tell him to enjoy his fishing and don't listen to the results before he watches the vid. Regards Jeff
a boat
Hi, I agree, you will be hard pressed to get any reception on the Hawkesbury but if you are near Brooklyn on Sunday night the Anglers Rest Hotel is a nice place to have dinner and watch the game if he can not stand to what till you get home. Many years ago myself and a few friends we staying on the Hawksbury at this time of the year and had a great time watching the GF at the Anglers Rest. Cheers, Huey. Berleyguts
If you really, need to watch the Grand Final, it might pay to pull up somewhere and visit a pub or club, as Huey suggests if down Broooklyn way. If right up river, maybe the Wisemans Inn or the bowlo. I will be up at Wisemans this weekend at my caravan - everyone in the park watches the GF via Foxtel projected on to a massive screen. Andy Nice
Thanks everyone , I will be around cowan creek area so the Anglers rest is a possibility, if not as you say just tape it (not as if its the eels anyway!) I will let you know how the fishing goes.
