The Entrance Lakes Closed Or Open?

hey everyone

just asking for an update on the conditions at The Entrance right now

a little while ago the Pelican Feeding semicircle was half covered in water as the mouth was near closed and the water had risen some 1.5m creating a very stinky stagnant lake

is it still like this or have they dredged it out??

will be heading up to visit family soon, wondering whether to bother with the kayak and fishing gear.

They did a half butted job at dredging the channel but still not much flow, heaps of weed around now and stinky, one day my local council will get it right and dredge it properly after they stop wasting money on who knows what as they always say not enough money in budget for dredging.
